Cashmere clothing is soft and precious, and Cashmere Clothing Maintenance is the key to maintaining its texture for a long time. Many people damage their beloved cashmere sweaters—causing deformation, pilling, or fading—due to improper maintenance. In fact, mastering the correct methods can easily extend their lifespan.
First, washing: Cashmere is not suitable for machine washing; hand washing or dry cleaning is recommended. For hand washing, use warm water around 30℃, add special cashmere detergent (avoid washing powder or soap to prevent fiber damage), gently press and rub, do not twist hard. After washing, wrap it with a towel to absorb excess water, then lay it flat in a ventilated place to dry. Avoid exposure to the sun or hanging (to prevent stretching and deformation).
Second, storage: Before long-term storage, ensure the cashmere clothing is completely dry, otherwise it is prone to mildew. Fold it and put it into a dust-proof bag, add 1-2 mothballs (wrapped in breathable paper to avoid direct contact with clothing causing discoloration), and place it in a cool place on the upper layer of the wardrobe. Finally, repair: Slight wrinkles do not need ironing; hang the clothing in bathroom steam for 10 minutes, and wrinkles will stretch naturally. If there is a small snags, use a needle tip to gently pull the thread back to the inside of the clothing, do not cut it to prevent the snag from expanding.
